Life Drawing

Introducing

the power of Life Drawing

to my 1st year students

almost all of them is new to such experience

such profound feeling

not just about drawing technique

but about celebrating the beauty of human body

where there should be no taboo

no criticism

the human body shall not be

what the HK gossip magazine has been protraying

maybe this is also

my way of contestation about

living in Hong Kong

at the end of the class

students view the body differently

from the usual "no see, no listen, no speech" approach

to a more mature, artistic, respectful adult

I am glad to take them through their first class

and hopefully this may not be their last
